When Julie Beisner of Somerset Interiors & Ambella Home set out to complete a thoughtfully designed gameroom in her San Clemente residence, she turned to West State Billiards & Gamerooms for guidance. Working closely with Donny Wessels from our Irvine showroom, she sought a centerpiece that would harmonize with the relaxed, curated character of the space — a room she and her family affectionately call “The Beisner Bungaloo.”
Her choice — the California House Menlo Pool Table in a Sand finish — fulfills that vision beautifully. The table’s warm, natural tone and visible wood grain align perfectly with the bungalow-inspired palette seen throughout the room. Earthy hues, organic materials, and subtle handcrafted details all work together, and the Menlo’s finish introduces a soft, grounded element that echoes the space’s natural woods and woven textures. To complement this foundation, Julie selected Championship Invitational cloth with Teflon in Charcoal, a sophisticated, understated shade that adds depth without unsettling the room’s calming balance.
From the outset, Julie aimed for a design that blended craftsmanship, comfort, and timeless style. Donny’s expertise helped identify the Menlo as the ideal centerpiece — a table known for its precision construction, architectural simplicity, and warm materiality. The Sand finish harmonizes with the home’s bungalow aesthetic, enhancing surrounding tones of wicker, jute, and textured upholstery. Meanwhile, the Charcoal cloth introduces a refined contrast, reinforcing the space’s earthy layers while keeping the overall look cohesive and grounded.
As seen in the completed room, the Menlo table adds texture, warmth, and a sense of artisanship to the Bungaloo’s inviting atmosphere. To complete the ensemble, Julie incorporated a Presidential Round Metal Floor Rack, providing streamlined cue storage that complements both the table and the surrounding decor. Expert installation ensured every detail aligned with the room’s relaxed yet elevated design.
