The owner of this opulent 51st floor penthouse in Downtown Los Angeles wanted a sleek yet elegant pool table to match the dark, luxurious aesthetic of their entertainment space. With 7,000 square feet to spare, it was obvious that this penthouse would not be completed without a top-tier pool table to match. Thankfully, Paul Lockhart, West State’s experienced Fullerton salesman was able to assist this customer in choosing the perfect table: The Diamond Pro-Am Pool Table.
The Pro-Am table boasts a 1-inch one-piece slate for sizes 7′, 8′, and 9′, with a 3-piece slate option for easy installation on various floors. Additionally, it features Simonis 860 tournament-grade cloth in a range of colors. The rails, available in Oak with five stain options or Black PRC, are firmly secured with bolts and include matched diamond inlaid sights. Moreover, the rounded rail top ensure stable play, with no metal parts to damage cues. The Diamond Pro-Am’s cushions utilize the K-55 profile for responsive play, complemented by Black Diamond Rubber. The innovative wedge leveling system allows precise adjustments without removing the rails, while the quiet ball return system efficiently channels balls to the rear of the table, with easy access for maintenance. Integrated leveling blocks in the legs even ensure simple and accurate height adjustments.
This client tastefully chose the Black PRC finish along with black finish oak wood legs, and a 3-piece slate. The pool table was then fitted with the Simonis Shark Grey 860 cloth and completed with 4 1/2″ tight pockets.
The smooth black finish in combination with subtle wood grain patterns encompassing the table allow it to harmonize with the dark grey wood floors. However, since the wood pattern is not as prominent, it perfectly complements the black marble walls rather than clashing with it.
In contrast, the lighter grey cloth accentuates the beautiful Los Angeles skyline in the background. Lastly, purple hued LED lights illuminating the perimeter of the table infuse a vibrant touch into the elegantly designed monochromatic room.
