This gorgeous modern home in Boca Raton, Florida, features a sleek, minimalist aesthetic that favors bold lines and contrasting colors. With help from West State Billiards & Gamerooms sales representative Paul Lockhart, the homeowners were able to find the right pool table to fit this look.
Tucked just inside the entrance from the patio, the home features a little nook perfect for entertaining. It has enough space to hold the pool table, seating, and a cue rack. A modern partition separates the space with metallic posts, reflecting the metallic accents found throughout the rest of the space. The walls also feature a thick line of gray that goes up from one wall, across the ceiling, to the other.
Above the pool table is a modern lighting fixture with glass treated to look metallic. It offers a nice vertical line of sight to bring the design together while matching the width of the pool table to create balance. Underneath the pool table is a faux leopard skin rug. White with metallic “spots” ties the color of the walls and floor in with the darker metal of the pool table. The metallic spots look black when light is not reflected, also tying into the marble tiles with grey streaks.
To match, a mirror is designed to appear cracked while reflecting the light around it. Underneath is a small side table, perfect for storing other games or pool equipment. It has a decorative vase in the same soft grey found on the marble tiled floors, and the same grey is used in the metallic accents.

It features a 100% solid, kiln-dried hardwood frame, a 1” thick diamond-honed 3-piece slate base, and an integrated rail and apron unit. The owners opted for the Onyx finish and black, Teflon-coated invitational fabric by Championship for this model. It continues the high-contrast look found throughout the rest of the home. Also adding to the modern look is the Origami’s very design, which features table legs that mimic the folds of an origami piece.
