For this OC Ambiance interior design project, the pool table needed to feel like it had always belonged in the space—refined, substantial, and quietly distinctive. Rather than compete with the architecture and furnishings, it needed to become part of the visual language of the room.
The choice was the Washington Pool Table by Presidential Billiards, selected with the guidance of Donny Wessels at West State Billiards & Gamerooms’ Irvine showroom. Thankfully, his expertise in luxury high end tables allowed for a seamless experience. Upon purchase to its delivery, meticulously executed by our trusted expert Victor Zambrano, the total lead time for this designer pool table was less than a month.
The Washington has an architectural quality that sets it apart. Its sculptural reeded detailing introduces a subtle rhythm and texture, while the curved pedestal base gives the silhouette a sense of movement. There is something inherently elegant about its proportions—contemporary without feeling overly modern, distinctive without chasing attention. If quiet luxury is what the interior designers were looking for, they certainly got it.
Warm wood tones flow naturally into the surrounding flooring, while the neutral playing surface reinforces the soft, tonal palette. Beyond it, expansive dark glazing and clean ceiling lines provide a restrained backdrop.
The room feels collected rather than decorated.
Nothing competes. The table doesn’t announce itself as a game-room centerpiece; instead, it reads almost like a sculptural furnishing—one that happens to invite play. That duality is what makes it so irresistible.
This is the essence of quiet luxury: not excess, but intention. Materials, proportion, texture, and craftsmanship are allowed to speak without unnecessary embellishment. The result is a space that feels warm and sophisticated.
