At Park Summit Upscale Apartments in San Diego, their goal was to create a game room that felt polished and upscale, yet still comfortable and inviting.
The challenge was finding not just a great pool table, but a shuffleboard that worked with it. The pieces needed to feel like they belonged in the same room without taking away from the surrounding design.
With the help of Vicki Bliss at West State Billiards & Gamerooms, Park Summit chose the Canada Billiard Luxx Pool Table and matching Luxx Shuffleboard in a rich Dark Antique finish. The warm wood, clean lines, and subtle midcentury-modern style fit naturally with the room, adding character while keeping the overall look sophisticated.
Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light, while the dark finish of the Luxx pieces provides visual weight and warmth. The pool table’s architectural lines complement the contemporary flooring and rug, while the shuffleboard carries those same materials and proportions across the room.
Of course, choosing the right tables was only part of the project.
Both pieces had to make their way to the 7th floor, where Brian Esparza of South Cali Billiards handled the delivery and installation. His experience and attention to detail ensured that the tables were positioned, assembled, and finished properly within the space.
