Minimalist Designer Pool Table In Trabuco Canyon, CA

trabuco canyon

The owners of this Trabuco Canyon home wanted a piece of furniture that would serve as a focal point for their entertainment room and provide hours of fun during parties or relaxing evenings at home. West State’s own Paul Lockhart helped them choose the perfect complement to their modern, minimalist interior.

This space acts as both a sitting room and a place for entertaining guests and family. Two large windows let in light along the far wall, which helps the room achieve a bright, open look. They are framed by a set of grey curtains, which are in line with the rest of the minimalist color scheme. The striped curtains also play into the room’s use of lines to create visual interest.

Near the window is a chair and lamp, both industrial in style. The chair features open metal work, with wood frame and leather cushions. The black leather and wood bring in some warmth so that the light colors do not completely wash out the room. It also helps tie in the pool table and the black background in the fireplace. Further complementing the armchair is the round table next to it, which is perfect for holding a cup of coffee or book. The lamp also adds to the feeling that this would be the perfect reading nook.

A beige carpet helps break up the wood featured in the billiards table, the side table, and the armchair. It also acts as another surface to reflect light from the windows, keeping the room bright, even when the sun does not shine directly through the glass. It keeps the visuals interesting by not directly matching the titanium white walls, instead imbuing them with warmth.

Adding to the visual interest is the fireplace, which takes center stage on the wall adjacent to the windows. It is made with a marble surround, and the interior is painted black. It helps the faux logs stand out better, and draws the eye in.

In the very center of the room is the pool table. This West State Designer table in model Chandra, is built to look modern without losing any elegance. The legs form an almost-architecture like look, with a design that mimics buttresses found in many older historical buildings. This lends a touch of elegance and provides practical support without being too bulky.

Accentuating this table is the custom finish, which the owners had matched so that the pool table would look right at home in their space. West State worked with their design team at Getzlaf to create the perfect finish. The warm-toned black plays off the other black features in the room, which also have rich, warm undertones to keep the place from feeling too dull or cold. The result is a deep brown black that provides much needed contrast to the brighter elements of the room.

These homeowners now have a gorgeous pool table that perfectly blends into their home, so it never feels out of place. While others might worry about the table being bulky, this residence proves that with the right model and stain, pool tables only add to the ambience and entertainment space!
