The owners of this Rancho Mission Viejo home needed a set of gaming tables that would complement their existing furniture and not take up too much space. With help from experienced West State salesperson Paul Lockhart, they found a set of gaming tables that allowed them to enjoy various fun activities. Our installer, Jeff Burd, also helped set up the new game tables for the owners.
Despite the room’s narrow width, its elongated shape compensates for it. The strategic placement of access points to various areas of the house, such as the kitchen and home office, not only enhances the room’s functionality but also creates an illusion of spaciousness. The open walls allow natural light from adjacent rooms to filter in, augmenting the illumination from the windows.
On the far side of the room, a door leads to the yard, and a few windows let in light. The adjoining far wall also features a patio entryway, providing light from every outer-facing wall. This keeps the space from feeling too claustrophobic. Aiding this are the white walls and light-colored accents. The furniture is upholstered in light greys and creams, while the walls are a soft off-white. Even the fireplace features light-colored stone and a white mantle.
Contrasting this is the dark wood floor, which notably features greys that reflect the same shades found in the upholstery. The chairs around the gaming table also feature prominent wooden frames that match the floor and the poker table. Adding just a hint of color are the pillows on the couch, which feature a blue-gray that melds with the color palette rather than standing out.
One side of the room is dedicated to the game table, surrounded by complementary game chairs. This California House Petaluma is perfect for anyone with limited space who needs a place to entertain. It features a reversible top that can change the setting from dining to gaming in just a few seconds. There is also storage for chips, puzzles, and anything else you might need to enjoy an evening of fun. Its gray-brown finish pulls directly from the wood flooring, so it looks right at home in the space.
The seating area lies next to it, with the couch as a visual reference for where the dining room ends and the living room begins. Just parallel to the sofa is the Petaluma shuffleboard table. Unlike the game table, it features a slightly lighter finish to keep that room section looking brighter. It still contains hints of gray throughout, though, tying it back to the other colors in the room. Because the shuffleboard is longer than wide, it fits in the space, leaving just enough room for gameplay and others to walk by without disturbing anyone.
Though limited in space, this home was able to make the most of it with convertible gaming tables, easy-to-move matching seating, and a shuffleboard that fit the room’s dimensions.
