These Irvine homeowners wanted a piece of game furniture that fit their entertaining space and could provide a focal point to gather around in the evenings. The West State team helped find the perfect shuffleboard table, a Brunswick Merrimack model.
This game room was longer than it was wide, which limited the types of game furniture that they could include in their design. They also had to work with the existing furniture and design in the space. The homeowners already owned a Brunswick pool table and included enough seating, leaving the far wall as the only available space. Luckily, shuffleboard tables are great for places with not a lot of space.
Most importantly, the shuffleboard table had to match the stain on the existing pool table. West State was able to create the perfect match so both tables look as identical as possible. A rich, dark finish, it plays off the darker frames and art pieces found throughout the space. It also ties into the stain on the built-in bookcase, creating a cozy, intimate atmosphere.
The Brunswick Merrimack comes at 16 feet in length. It features hammered metal hardware and distinctive joinery to create a refined look that still showcases the craftsmanship put into the piece. Adding to that handcrafted feel is the hand-rubbed antique finishes that allow the natural grains and texture to shine through, no matter the color.
Important for any shuffleboard enthusiast, the table also comes with multiple climate adjusters, so the surface can be adjusted to create smooth gameplay without warping. Included with the homeowners’ purchase was a set of accessories, including four black weights, four red weights, a built-in abacus scoring system, board sweep, and shuffleboard wax.
